The partnership between Banco Votorantim and Banco do Brasil

In September 2009 the association process between Votorantim Finanças (the financial arm of the Votorantim Group’s financial holding) and Banco do Brasil was concluded.

Banco do Brasil acquired 49.99% of the voting shares (50% of the total capital) of Banco Votorantim. The structure of the partnership preserves Banco Votorantim’s management model as a privately held Financial Institution, while boosting the capacity of both institutions to leverage growth opportunities more effectively and rapidly.

Joining forces - Banco Votorantim will add value with its origination capabilities, consumer finance/third party distribution expertise to Banco do Brasil’s financial strength and extensive retail network (over 15,000 service locations across the nation, presence in 23 countries).
